Ceylon Teachers Sevice Union is the most powerful trade union in the education sector and public sector in sri lanka.there are more than sixty thousand two hundred fifty teachers of the country.

Ceylon teachers service union established in 1997 under the leadership of all Ceylon trade union federation was (ACTUF) which gives leadership to the trade unions in public and semi government institutions.

Ceylon of teachers service union is the major respresentive partner of sri lanka in world federation of teachers union (FISE) which was found in 1946 in paris and it is the first internationals trade union found by the world fedention of trade union formed in 1945 in paris too.
